It'll be opening on the last Monday of April in 2009.

Wow that's unusual . I just got used to the 15'th opening. I wonder why they changed. Probably to keep the opener on a Monday so as not to have a lot of guys out if it were to fall on a Saturday or Sunday opener.

 I agree. It's a good move by the MNR. Opening  the season on a Monday will translate into less hunters and less pressure on the birds. I will take a few days off that week to hunt for sure.
