Anybody do any grouse hunting in Fall and are you seeing lots of birds in your deer hunting areas ? I'm seeing less birds each year. |

I hope so, especially after all the snow we got this past winter. |

I used to do a lot of grouse hunting. I'd follow their tracks in the snow, stalking them slowly...It was a lot of fun. I hunted woodlots in Mulmur and Alliston, Ontario, every small game opener and a few times in the winter. Now, I have only time for deer. Never fails though, when I'm sitting in my stand in Shelbourne, I usually spot ruffed grouse. The temptation is tough, especially in the last few hours of our hunt. Although, there were many more sightings in the past then in the present. |

I used to hunt them when I was after moose. I always carried a sling shot to take them out I don't hunt them now at all but I still use the sling to get rid of those darn tree rats. ![]() | |||
