On my way in to check a deer stand last Sunday, I flushed up four grouse. Good to see.

I have seen a few more birds this year than last, kind of surprizing considering all the wet weather.

I would have thought that the numbers would be down also.  I saw very few grouse in the bush this year and normally I see lots.
