What gun do you use, powder? projectile? ignition? Twist?
I have an old Traditions that is 54 caliber, rate of twist is 1 in 48 inches. 209 ignition inline. I shoot 430 gr home cast pure lead  TC Maxi Balls with 90 gr pyrodex.  I also have a TC 54 cal Hawkins 1/48 twist #11 cap ignition and use the same load
I have been thinking of up grading but realistically most on my shots are 30 yds or less and I cast my own bullets for next to nothing , I have a stash of pure lead  that I have collected over the years. These new ML bullets are going for almost a bick a shot! I think I'll just keep doing what I have been it works great at my ranges. I have a pound of 777 and a pound of clear shot that I want to try instead of the pyrodex anyone tried these newer powders?

I don't own one. They sure are neat to look at... I particularly like the whole traditional aspect of the muzzleloader.

I've sent in my application for a Possession and Acquisition licence so now I'm waiting for that process to run its course and then I would like to buy a new muzzleloader with a nice scope.

I shoot a CVA Hunterbolt, .50cal, Triple 7, & 245gr sabot. I've had it since 2003 and shot 4 deer with it.
