My brother and I have a portrait/art company called Big Buck Portraits. We have been painting portraits for a couple of years for hunters who wish to have their trophy moments captured on canvas. We paint your deer, turkey, bear and moose harvests... Fish as well.

This is our latest. It depicts Larry Smith of Ontario with his two bucks of 2007. Both were taken weeks apart. He asked that we combine the two in one portrait.

Please visit bigbuckportraits.com for more info and to view our gallery.

Thanks Frank! I would love to do one for you one day - Go get that buck!!!!

Here's another one we did earlier this year for a woman in Alberta. It shows her husband's buck from 2005. It depicts the scene as he remembers it,only I turned it around, looking at it from behind the deer. This story is special - A couple of weeks later, his father passed on. But he did get to see a picture of it before he died... So for the hunter, the portrait represents a harvest of a lifetime and the spirit of his father living on.

Beautiful paintings Mike.  I really like the one with the face in the clouds.

You are what you eat.  What would you rather be, a beast or a vegetable?

Sorry I haven't been around much. Thanks for the kind words... I haven't done a portrait like that in a while. Most of the ones I have done lately are cartoon-like. last one I worked on was for Advanced Taxidermy... it's actually done.
