Stop puppies from chewing everything in the house ( my lab pup had a real craving for furniture ). Spray everything with lemon juice. The dog will not like the taste and the smell is more pleasant than some of the brand name anti-chewing sprays that you can buy. It's a lot cheaper too. I wish I'd known this when my lab was a pup, as he chewed the corners of some of my rock albums and some furniture.

Never thought to try lemon juice but my lab just hates the taste (and smell) of tabasco.  Careful though it should be deluted a little.  Worked on my last two pups (not beavers).
