Took a drive over to my hunting area to glass the bean fields tonight and I came across two bears crossing the road. I pulled over and watch the mother for five minutes before she crossed to join her cub. Pretty cool encounter, right in my hunting area. I'm hoping they visited my trail cam site. This the second straight year I have had a bear sighting.

Did any of them look like the bear on my trail cam?,,,Frank

These bears looked smaller. They where headed north at 7:30pm.

On opening morning of the controlled gun hunt, I watched a black bear for about a good three hours beneath my treestand. He was at the foot of my ladder when I put the gun on him, but decided to pull away and yell at him to get out of there. The hair on his back stood up and his eyes widened in surprise... he snuck out looking back at me every now and then until he disappeared for good. He finished off a pile of apples I left there for the deer and probably smelled the food in my day pack... man was he plump!
