Can't be in order or the lab would be on top!!!  As far as I know the hunting Irish Setter is all but gone.  Too much breeding for looks and not brains.  Oh oh, I may have opened up a can of worms.

You are what you eat.  What would you rather be, a beast or a vegetable?

LOL The Lab is my favorite. These lists always get the discussions going.

I love dogs, but darn do I hate the ungulate chasers, not that I would denie anyone the right to hunt the way they want. I just wish they would come up with a better way to control the dogs. I have had many of my hunts ruined by dogs running through chasing the wrong animal for the season.

I know what you mean.  To bad dogs can't read no trespassing signs.  On Crown land though the registered deer hounds have a free roam.  If a dog chases a deer past me when I am on crown land I will harvest the deer.  I would not purposely intrude on another party's drive but if their dog goes out of that area I say it's fair game.

Darn straight its fair game, I personaly do not like the taste of a deer that has been run by dogs to me it is different than a animal that has no idea its about to be dinner.

We use to work the running dogs to our advantage. The dogs would push the deer into our " backyard" hunting area and we would get a few deer running bye. I know what you mean though Final.

The taste of deer that have been run hard definately has a stronger taste.  If small beagles are used the deer don't really get pushed hard and I find little difference in their taste.  Most of the time the deer will be walking or trotting at the fastest.
